Mystic — Stonington police say they are investigating a report of a home invasion Tuesday morning at a home on Hewitt Road.

Capt. Todd Olson said police responded to the home at 10:12 a.m. He said the woman who lived there was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.

He said detectives remained at the scene Tuesday afternoon interviewing neighbors and collecting evidence. He said police still are investigating what occurred.

Police had no information to release about a possible suspect.
