Norwich – Police are investigating reports of gunfire Wednesday evening, in the area of 73 School St.

Norwich police received numerous 911 calls at about 9:41 p.m. Wednesday. Responding police did not locate any victims in the area and no injuries were reported at local hospitals.

Officers discovered a single shell casing at the scene. There was no evidence of property damage.

While conducting a neighborhood canvas, police learned that residents heard about three gunshots and a vehicle speed away from the scene.
