Two people charged following attempted Norwich robbery

Norwich — Two people were charged following an altercation during an attempted robbery late Sunday in the area of Broad Street that resulted in one person being stabbed, police said. Police did not release any information about the victim but said no was one severely injured.
Shamon Sharpley, 20, of 154 Prospect St., Norwich, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree robbery.
Denzel Johnson 25, of 54 Lake St., Norwich, was charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.
The incident was reported at 11:22 p.m. Sunday, police said.
