East Lyme — A 43-year-old Niantic man has been arrested following allegations that he sexually assaulted a teenager on multiple occasions, according to police.

Raza Rahi, of 15 Freedom Way, Apt. 7, was charged on a warrant with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

Police said the victim is a 15-year-old female. She told police Rahi had sexual contact with her several times from May through July this year.

Police obtained a warrant for Rahi’s arrest from New London Superior Court and on Wednesday took him into custody.

Released on a $250,000 bond, he is due to be arraigned Dec. 20.
