Two Virginia men charged with having sex with underage girl in Mystic hotel

Stonington -- Two brothers from Virginia were charged Monday with sexually assaulting an underage girl who was staying at a local hotel with a school group several months ago.

Jerry Brockman, 20, of Harrisonburg, Va., was charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault and three counts of risk of injury to minor while Cody R. Brockman, 32, of Kilmarnock, Va., was charged with second-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor. The brothers turned themselves in to police, who had obtained warrants for their arrest, Monday morning and were then arraigned in New London Superior Court.

According to police, the men were in the area installing carpet and were staying at the hotel when they met the girl. While police said the sex was consensual, the girl is underage and unable to consent under state law. Police said there were multiple incidents of sexual contact between the girl and the two men.
