Delays remain after morning crash on Gold Star Bridge

New London — While crews quickly cleared a two-car crash on the southbound side of the Gold Star Memorial Bridge Tuesday morning, a state Department of Transportation website shows heavy delays remain in the area.

The DOT said in an alert that the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. about ½ mile before Exit 84. The wreck closed the right lane of Interstate 95 for about 30 minutes.

Traffic around 8:10 a.m. was backed up beyond Exit 86.
