Police: Stonington man drove with a suspended license twice in eight hours

Stonington — Police charged a Pawcatuck man Monday with driving with a suspended license twice within less than eight hours.

Police said that at 8:45 a.m., an officer saw a car squealing its tires while exiting a driveway into Greenhaven Road. Police stopped Dylan P. Berube, 30, of 370 Greenhaven Road and found that his license was suspended. He also was charged with exceeding noise limits and released on a promise to appear in New London Superior Court on May 4.

At 4 p.m., police said they were dispatched to the area of South Anguilla and Pequot Trail for a report of an erratic driver and then received another call about a driver in commuter lot at the intersection of Route 1 and North Main Street.

Police located the driver, Berube, and again charged him with driving with a suspended license. He was given a summons to appear in court May 4.
