Police seize drugs, ammunition in search of New London home
New London — Two residents are facing drug-related charges after police on Tuesday searched their Vauxhall Street home.
Police charged Kerry Barnum, 37, of 224 Vauxhall St. with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, operating a drug factory and tampering with evidence.
Daniel Hunt, 29, of the same address was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of ammunition. Police levied the latter charge because Hunt is a felon.
Police said they found and seized crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, surveillance equipment, digital scales, a cellphone, 84 rounds of .223-caliber ammunition, a rifle magazine with 10 .223-caliber rounds and $555 in cash when they served a search warrant on the home.
Information about the pair's court dates wasn't immediately available.
