Pedestrian on I-95 hit by truck Saturday morning in Old Lyme
Old Lyme — A pedestrian was hit by a box truck while on Interstate 95 early Saturday morning and transported to the hospital with a serious injury.
The accident occurred about 6:42 a.m. on I-95 northbound near Exit 70 in Old Lyme, and Life Star was requested at the scene, according to state police.
Following the incident, the box truck involved in the crash did not wait at the scene but later was stopped.
Lanes temporarily were closed while police investigated the incident.
