Motorcyclist transported after two-vehicle crash in East Lyme
East Lyme — Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle that occurred about 11:57 a.m. Saturday.
The motorcycle, operated by James Fogle of Lyme, was traveling northbound on Pennsylvania Avenue when it collided with a vehicle that was making a left turn from Clark Street onto Pennsylvania Avenue. The vehicle was being operated by Patricia Beebe of Niantic. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Beebe had no injuries. Fogle had serious injuries but they were not life-threatening, police said, and he was transported by Niantic Ambulance to L+M Hospital in New London, and subsequently transferred to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment.
