Old Saybrook Police announced that they will be conducting sobriety checkpoints beginning Friday.
The police will be doing the checks as part of the state Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office and the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration’s July 4th Holiday Traffic Safety Initiative, with the enforcement message of: “In real life, you don’t get a second chance!”
