Norwich — A bedroom fire displaced four residents of 50 Norwich Ave. on Friday morning, Taftville Deputy Chief Thomas Jencks said.

Firefighters knocked down the blaze in the two-story home within about 20 minutes. Jencks said only the room where the fire began was damaged.

The Red Cross said late Friday afternoon that it was helping one adult and three children after the fire, providing personal care items and information about what other kinds of assistance is available to them. It wasn’t clear when they’ll be able to return home.

No one was injured in the blaze, to which Norwich and Occum firefighters also responded.

Records show Kelly Ann Miceli owns the home.
