New London police charge Uncasville man with weapons violation

New London — Police late Saturday night arrested an Uncasville man for allegedly carrying a pistol without a permit.

Police on Monday said they arrested Tyus Lawrence, 22, of 31-B Lathrop Road, Uncasville, after a disturbance on Bank Street and Pearl Street at about 11:54 p.m.

Police said Lawrence was carrying a .22 caliber revolver without a permit at the time of his arrest. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
