Lyme — The Board of Selectmen has issued an advisory on the town website after it said residents reported that one or more people claiming to be census takers have asked to be invited inside homes to conduct a survey.
"Please be advised that there are no U.S. Census Bureau activities taking place in or around Lyme," the Board of Selectmen notice states. "Do not invite these individuals into your home. Say you’re not interested and shut the door. Notify the police if you feel unsafe."
