    Silver Alert issued for missing New London teen

    New London — New London police issued a Silver Alert early Thursday morning for a missing 16-year-old boy.

    Police are seeking the public's help in locating Shamil Tinel, described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 100 pounds. Police did not provide a description of his clothing.

    Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact New London Police at (860) 447-5269.
