Police: Male dies of apparent overdose in New London hotel

New London — First responders tried but could not revive a male who apparently overdosed at the Red Roof Inn Saturday morning, police said.

Police said the male, whom they did not identify, was unconscious and not breathing when they were called to the 707 Colman St. hotel about 8:36 a.m.

Police processed the scene and notified the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The investigation is ongoing.
