N.Y. man killed in crash on I-95 south in Old Saybrook

Old Saybrook — State police said a New York man died in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a large truck, which closed Interstate 95 south between exits 68 and 67 for several hours Tuesday.

Man Biao Luo, 60, of Flushing, N.Y., drove a box truck into the back of a tractor-trailer driven by Youssouf Sissoko of Houston, Texas, about 10:58 a.m., state police said in an accident report issued Tuesday night. Sissoko had slowed for heavy traffic in front of him, but Luo showed no signs of slowing down before the collision, state police said.

Sissoko suffered minor injuries; Luo died at the scene. Each was wearing a seat belt.

Police said the tractor-trailer belonged to 4 U Logistics Inc. of New York, N.Y. The box truck was owned by JWY 33 LLC, a company based in Maspeth, N.Y.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with relevant information is asked to call Troop F in Westbrook at (860) 399-2100.
