Police seek information in Crystal Mall fight involving machete
Waterford — Police are investigating after "several" young males, including one who apparently had a machete, fought at the Crystal Mall about 9 p.m. Wednesday, Lt. Timothy Silva said.
Silva said most of the youths had fled by the time police arrived. Silva said no one reported injuries to officers on scene but "anything is possible, as the witnesses were uncooperative."
Silva said police heard some of the youths may have had knives — and video footage shows one running through the mall with what appears to be a machete — but police didn't find any knives on scene.
Police have not yet charged anyone, Silva said.
Silva urged anyone who was injured in the fight or witnessed it to contact Officer Jake Nickerson at (860) 442-9451 or email@example.com.
