Waterford — Bloomingdale Road is closed after a tractor-trailer snagged some wires, pulling them down Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened at 3:59 p.m., town police said Thursday night. It damaged a pole, prompting the closure between Millers Pond Road and Old Mill Road. That stretch was expected to remain closed for 10 hours, police said.

Frontier Communications was replacing the pole, though a crew from Eversource also was on scene, police said.
