New London man accused of sending 'indecent material' to children
Police in Vermont on Saturday arrested a New London man who they allege was sending indecent materials to minors.
Police in Chester, Vt., say George Decoster, 21, of New London would go to racetracks in New London and Pomfret, and meet juveniles. He then would maintain further contact with the minors on a social media app, on which he would send "indecent material" to them, police say.
The investigation, which began when the Chester police and Windsor County Special Investigations Unit in Vermont received a complaint, is ongoing. In a news release announcing the arrest, police said they have conducted interviews and obtained a search warrant for Decoster's social media account.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
Anyone who may have had inappropriate contact with Decoster is urged to contact her or his local police agency.
