Pedestrian struck by car on I-95 on-ramp in Waterford
Waterford — Town police confirmed a pedestrian was struck Wednesday night by a car on the Interstate-95 south on-ramp at Route 85.
Police received the call at 9:09 p.m. The victim, a woman, was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London with minor injuries, police said.
Police noted there is a crosswalk in the area.
The ramp was briefly shut down, and police advised motorists to avoid the area, but it has been reopened.
No further information was immediately available. Waterford police said the incident was under investigation.
