Two hurt in Norwich scooter crash

Norwich -- Two people were injured, one critically, when a motor scooter was involved in collision with motor vehicle at 457 Main St. on Sunday afternoon.

According to the fire department, firefighters responded to the accident at 2:37 p.m. and CPR was in progress when they arrived. Firefighters and American Ambulance transported two victims to the William W. Backus Hospital. The fire department said one victim was in critical condition and the other was being evaluated. Police are investigating the crash. The road remained closed as of 4 p.m.
