New London — State police said two people were transported to the hospital Tuesday with minor injuries following a five-car pileup, including one rollover, on the northbound span of the Gold Star Memorial Bridge.

The crash, which was reported to police at 3:08 p.m., occurred by the entrance from Huntington Street, police said.

Some lanes temporarily were closed due to the crash, causing traffic to back up, but all have since been reopened.
