Two men shot in New London
New London -- Two men where shot early Sunday morning in the area of Shaw and Ann streets.
Police said that at 12:13 a.m. they responded to a call of shots fired. When they arrived, police said they were met by a large group of people and found a semiconscious man suffering from a gunshot wound in the street.
The man was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment. While police were at the hospital investigating the shooting, police said a second man with arrived at the hospital after being shot.
Police said their investigation found both men had sustained their wounds while at the event in the area of Shaw and Ann streets. Detectives collected evidence and processed the scene. Police said the two shootings do not appear to be random acts.
