Man shot in New London, police investigating
New London — A man was shot Tuesday afternoon in New London, police said.
At 2:57 p.m., officers were called to the emergency room at L+M Hospital for a report of a shooting victim, according to the New London Police Department.
When they arrived, officers spoke with a man who had suffered a gunshot wound that did not appear to be life-threatening, police said. He had been shot somewhere in his "lower extremities" but police did not specify where he'd been shot, or where or when the shooting occurred. They did not release any details about the victim's identity.
