Stolen car rolled over in Old Lyme, suspect fled
Old Lyme — State police are searching for a suspect who allegedly fled after crashing and rolling over a stolen vehicle on Shore Road.
According to state police in Westbrook, a call came in at 8:12 a.m. Saturday about a rolled over car on Shore Road in Old Lyme. No other vehicle was involved. Respondents to the scene discovered the operator of the vehicle had fled on foot. A police K9 search was conducted, but no suspect was found. The stolen vehicle was towed from the scene.
Police said the vehicle, a Chevrolet Cobalt, had been stolen from West Haven. The incident is under investigation.
