Norwich — City police arrested resident Jeffrey Williams on Wednesday on drug-related charges.

Williams was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of possession of narcotics and three counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Police came to his home at 131 Broadway, Apt. 2, to execute a search warrant, which “was the result of an intensive and targeted investigation of a reported drug dealer at that location,” according to a police news release.

Officers reported finding "significant amounts" of fentanyl, Suboxone strips and crack cocaine, as well as drug packaging materials and scales, at the residence.

Williams is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond and is set to appear Thursday in Norwich Superior Court.
