Bonnie Nault installed as 2021 ECAR president

REALTORS® from all over eastern Connecticut met via zoom on January 14th to install newly elected officers and directors for 2021. Senator Heather Somers, a Republican member of the Connecticut Senate representing the 18th District, was the installing officer as 2021 President Bonnie Nault took the oath of office.

Nault, a Retired Navy Captain, U.S. Navy Reserve Civil Engineer Corps (Seabees), has been a real estate agent and ECAR member for 14 years. She is affiliated with William Pitt Sotheby's International in Old Lyme and resides in Mystic, CT.

Greg Hanner of Garden Realty, immediate past President of the Eastern CT Association of Realtors® was the Master of Ceremonies. CT Realtors® President, Carol Christiansen and National Association of Realtors® President Charlie Oppler (via pre-recorded video) both referred to focusing on expanded housing equality and affordability, in their address to members.

In her incoming remarks, 2021 President Bonnie Nault discussed her theme, "CAN DO!", as a parallel to the Seabees "CAN DO" spirit. "We build and sustain relationships in our local communities while honoring our code of ethics, as we look to gain the trust and respect of our buyers, sellers, and other Realtors® by solving these unique problems", said Nault.
