Sound Advice 10-13-23
When you buy a home in Connecticut, you typically have a team of professionals behind you—a Realtor, a brokerage and a real estate attorney. Conversely, renters often go it alone in their quest to find an apartment or house to rent. Coldwell Banker Realtor Jacqueline Hoyt explains why a Realtor can be helpful to renters, as well:
“Realtors can be invaluable partners in the search for a rental property. Licensed Realtors will have advance knowledge of rental properties becoming available, thanks to relationships they’ve built with landlords across the region. Realtors can also advocate for their clients, making sure all their wants, needs and concerns are addressed with the landlord. And we can assist our rental clients with any necessary negotiations. Finally, working with an agent to secure a rental property is an excellent way to vet a Realtor for when the tenant is ready to buy a home of their own.”
