A Welcome Home reader recently asked about the challenge that potential home sellers have faced in recent years—not being able to sell for fear of not being able to buy, because of prices and competition—and whether some of that tension has started to ease. Realtor Geoff Gordon offered his perspective:
“Yes, the competitive frenzy in the market has definitely subsided. It depends on the segment, but by and large, listed homes are sitting a bit longer than they were a year or two ago, and not getting bid up as high, if at all. With interest rates coming down, I expect to see inventory perk up. That is good news for buyers and sellers.”
