    H.S. soccer roundup: Kondash leads Montville past Lyman

    Montville — Allie Kondash had a goal and two assists as Montville beat Lyman Memorial 3-0 in a girls’ soccer game on Thursday night.

    Mackenzie O’Donnell had a goal and an assist, Jada Cheung scored a goal and Sienna Gressly and Katie Myjak combined three saves for the Wolves. Isabelle Nowosad made 10 saves for Lyman.

    In other games:

    • Paige Jessuck scored three goals and Waterford blanked Ledyard 7-0. Camryn Dickinson, Adyson Wiseman and Shae Tiven had a goal apiece for the Lancers.

    • Emily Salek and Liliah Hart scored and East Lyme blanked Fitch 2-0. Sam Rodes made two saves for the Vikings.

    • Brooke Burgess and Anna Bussmann scored and Old Lyme edged East Hampton, 2-1. Olivia Kelly made seven saves for the Wildcats.

    • New London lost to Griswold 2-1. Darielys Arnold scored the goal and Joy Schneider made 34 saves for the Whalers.

    • NFA and Bacon Academy played to a 0-0 tie. Ava Boenig made five saves for NFA, which outshot Bacon 8-6.

    • Grasso Tech beat Ellis Tech 2-1 in its season opener on Wednesday. Kylee Morrison scored both goals for Grasso.

    Boys

    • East Lyme scored twice in the first four minutes and beat Waterford 2-1 to win the ALS Cup. Max Montejano and Callaway Scott scored goals, Evan Mullarney and Teagan Dunne had assists as Oliver Lopez made four saves for the Vikings (2-0). Matt Allen had an unassisted goal and Ben Dubicki made eight saves for the Lancers (0-1-1). The game raises money for local families that have been affected by ALS.

    • Ledyard played to a 1-1 tie with Windham. Ben Crowe scored in the 14th minute to give Ledyard (1-0-1) the lead. James Tweed assisted on the goal and Paulo Templeton made seven saves for the Colonels. Melkin Cal Chingo scored for Windham (0-0-2).

    • Montville got a goal and assist from Eric Richmond and a goal from Owen Craig to tie Lyman Memorial 2-2. Matthew Kopplin scored for Lyman, which also received an own goal. Jayden Burrell made eight saves for Montville and James Hiltz had seven saves for Lyman.

    • East Hampton defeated Old Lyme, 6-1. Gavin Biega scored for the Wildcats and Sam Edmed and Liam McCormick combined for 15 saves.

    • Troy Johnson scored twice and Bacon Academy defeated Fitch, 5-0. Kaden Treat, Eddie Hageman and Birch Collins also scored for the Bobcats. Stephen Stabach, Eddie Hageman, Doug Howard, Brayden Ward and J.P. Fougerouse had assists for Bacon, which tied Windham 1-1 on Tuesday.

    • Ethan Cabrera’s goal in the 54th minute helped Stonington edge Norwich Free Academy, 2-1. Sal Alessio and Andy Kramer also scored for the Bears. Cole Bray and Evan Casola scored for NFA.

    • Nico Churis scored twice and New London blanked Wheeler, 4-0. Thierry Lordillia and Stouvenly Dortelus also scored for the Whalers.

    • Aidan Cass scored twice and St. Bernard blanked Putnam, 7-0. Ben Syphrett, Sam Cunningham, Christian Lopez, Tim Regan and Cooper Norbert also scored for the Saints.
