UConn will have to conquer a brutal February stretch to complete its quest to capture back-to-back Big East Conference regular season titles.

The league schedule was announced on Thursday.

The Huskies begin February with four out of their first six games on the road, with trips to Marquette (Feb. 1), Creighton (Feb. 11), Seton Hall (Feb.15) and St. John’s (Feb. 23), which will host the Huskies at Madison Square Garden.

They’ll entertain St. John’s (Feb. 7), Villanova (Feb. 18) and Georgetown (Feb. 26).

And it doesn’t get much easier after that.

UConn will finish the regular season by visiting Providence (March 1) and hosting Marquette (March 4) and Seton Hall (March 8).

Starting times and home locations will be announced at a later date.

Last season, UConn made a historic run in the Big East, winning a record 18 regular season league games while clinching the program’s first Big East outright title in 25 years. The Huskies defeated each Big East opponent at least once. They also won the conference tournament championship for a record-tying 8th time.

They’ll open up their title defense this season by hosting Xavier on Dec. 18 before finishing the month with a road trip to Butler (Dec. 21).

January includes games at DePaul (Jan. 1), at Villanova (Jan. 8), at Georgetown (Jan. 11) and at Xavier. UConn will host Providence (Jan. 5), Creighton (Jan. 18), Butler (Jan. 21) and DePaul (Jan. 29).

Overall, the Huskies own the Big East record for regular season championships with 11.
