Chestnut Street Playhouse stages ‘Cold’
The Chestnut Street Playhouse just presented its 2023 Playwrights Festival, and now it’s giving a fully staged production to a script that was part of last year’s festival.
It’s “Cold” by Ben Jolivet. The story finds a couple, Ellie and Jane, waiting as their young daughter is undergoing surgery for a life-threatening condition. Issues of science and faith arise, as does Jane’s belief in an experimental treatment.
Keri Danner and Heather Oakley play Ellie and Jane, and Tara Golson plays a nurse. Derek Corriveau directs.
“Cold,” Sept. 21-Oct. 1, Chestnut Street Playhouse, 24 Chestnut St, Norwich; 7:30 p.m. Thurs.-Sat. and 2 p.m. Sun.; $24.95 adults, $22.46 students/seniors; chestnutstreetplayhouse.org.
