Santa Claus is coming to town(s) in Connecticut this holiday season.

There are plenty of opportunities in the Nutmeg State where families can meet and take photos with Old Saint Nick. Visitors to the Nutmeg State can find Santa and Mrs. Claus at malls, annual celebrations, marketplaces, climbing down a building and even diving into a shark tank.

New London County

Crystal Mall

850 Hartford Turnpike, Waterford

Shoppers can meet and take pictures with Santa Claus at the Crystal Mall in Waterford through Dec. 24. Visitors can reserve a 15-minute slot online or do a walkup visit.

Mystic Aquarium

55 Coogan Blvd., Mystic

Mystic Aquarium's Home for the Holidays — Lights Extravaganza is returning from Nov. 29-Dec. 31 and will take place from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The aquarium will be decked out in holiday lights and will have festive activities on select evenings. Santa Claus will appear nightly, according to the aquarium website.

Olde Mistick Village

27 Coogan Blvd., Mystic

Children will be able to meet Santa Claus at the Olde Mistick Village on Dec. 14 and 15. Santa will appear at the Village's Meeting House next to the duck bond from 12:30-4 p.m. each day.

Niantic Holiday Stroll

Liberty Green, Main St & Pennsylvania Ave., Niantic

Santa Claus will appear at the 21st annual Niantic Holiday Stroll on Nov. 30. At 5 p.m., the town will host a tree lighting ceremony followed by visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Niantic Liberty Green.

The Old Saybrook Torchlight Parade

63 Main St., Old Saybrook

The town of Old Saybrook's annual Torchlight Parade will take place on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. Santa Claus will be the parade's guest of honor and attendees will have the chance to meet him after the parade.

Windham County

Windham Community Center

1 Jillson Square, Willimantic

After Windham's tree lighting ceremony on Nov. 29 at 5:45 p.m., guests can meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the Windham Community Center.

B-Z-B Farm

97 Barstow Road., Canterbury

Santa will be at the B-Z-B Farm to take photos with guests on Dec. 1 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Woodstock Winter Festival

324 Woodstock Road and 210 Child Hill Road in Woodstock

Guests at this festival can listen to a story from Santa and donate a toy to help him load his sleigh at the Farm to Table Market at Elm Farm on Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. Eventgoers can also take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Woodstock Creamery at Valleyside Farm from noon to 4 p.m.

Middlesex County

Powder Ridge Winterfest

99 Powder Hill Road, Middlefield

Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort is hosting its annual Winterfest from Nov. 29 to Dec. 22. The event will feature winter activities, live music and other forms of entertainment on Fridays from 5-9 p.m., Saturdays from noon-9 p.m. and Sundays from noon-6 p.m. Attendees can purchase a general admission ticket to visit Santa Claus in his igloo, where there will be crafts for the children. Higganum's Yuletide Marketplace

272 Saybrook Road, Higganum

The Yuletide Marketplace, where local vendors sell handcrafted and vintage products, will take place at Haddam Elementary School in Higganum from Nov. 22-Dec. 15. Children can visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Marketplace on Dec. 13 from 4-7 p.m.

Star Hill Family Farm

819 Glastonbury Turnpike, Portland

Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves and other holiday characters will visit Star Hill Family Farm on certain days this season. Visitors can meet and take pictures with the characters on Nov. 29 and 30 and Dec. 1, 7, 14 and 21 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

New Haven County

Shoreline Trolley Museum

17 River St., East Haven

Guests at the Shoreline Trolley Museum can hop aboard a train and receive a gift from Santa during weekends in December. The Shoreline Trolley Museum is also hosting a Santa breakfast on Dec. 7, 14 and 21 at 9:30 a.m.

The Shops at Yale

B Natural Kitchen at 260 College St., New Haven and Barnes & Noble is located at 77 Broadway, New Haven

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting various locations at The Shops at Yale in the coming weeks. Guests can take photos with them at the B Natural Kitchen on Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. and Barnes & Noble on Dec. 14 and 21 from 1 to 3 p.m.

2024 North Haven Winterfest

290 Washington Ave., North Haven

Guests at the 2024 North Haven Winterfest, running on Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., can take photos with Santa.

Seymour High School

Guests at Seymour High School can see fireworks and take photos with Santa during this event, which is running on Dec. 14 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Meriden YuleFest

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be hanging out at the Meriden YuleFest on Nov. 30 and taking photos with guests from 1 to 5 p.m.

Bethlehem Christmas Town Festival

Town Green, Junction of Routes 61 & 132, Bethlehem

Residents can take photos with Santa Claus at the 43rd annual Bethlehem Christmas Town Festival on the Town Green. The festival will take place on Dec. 6 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and on Dec. 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Railroad Museum of New England

242 E. Main St., Thomaston

The Railroad Museum of New England is offering rides on its Santa Express weekends from Nov. 29 through Dec. 23. Passengers can hop on the afternoon train to visit Santa Claus and his elves. The service is scheduled for noon-2:15 p.m. most days and tickets cost $75.

Torrington Christmas Village

150 Church St., Torrington

Visitors can meet Santa, Mrs. Claus, four reindeer and elves at Torrington's Christmas Village on Church Street. The village is open from Dec. 8 through 23 and on the morning of Dec. 24.

Westfarms Mall

500 Westfarms Mall, Farmington

Families can now book a 15-minute time slot with Santa Claus at Westfarms Mall in Farmington through Dec. 24. Walkups are welcome.

The Shoppes at Buckland Hills

Santa Claus is available for visits by Macy's Backstage at The Shoppes at Buckland Hills in Manchester. Families can reserve a 15-minute time slot through Dec. 24 and walkup visits are also welcome.

Enfield Square

Guests can take pictures with Santa Claus in Enfield Square starting Nov. 29 through Dec. 24. Visits are 15 minutes long and can either be reserved online or be a walkup.

Glow Hartford

The Glow Hartford light festival at the Connecticut Convention Center lasts through Dec. 29. Attendees get a chance to meet and take a picture with Santa Claus.

Connecticut Science Center

The annual Ellington Winterfest and Tree-Lighting Ceremony will take place on Dec. 6 and 7. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at the Town Green on Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. and will conduct the tree-lighting ceremony at 4:45 p.m.

Winter Welcome in Storrs

1 Royce Circle, Storrs

Mansfield Downtown Partnership's Winter Welcome in downtown in Storrs will take place on Dec. 7. Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit Barnes & Noble UConn from 4-6 p.m.

Vernon Winterfest

14 Park Place, Vernon

Vernon's annual Winterfest will take place at Central Park on Dec. 6 at 5:45 p.m. The event will feature the opening of the Santa House, where children can visit Santa and Mrs. Claus.
