Missing Deep River teen found in Miami
A teenager who has been missing from Deep River since before Christmas has been found in Miami, Fla., police said.
Katherine Konrad, 16, was in a found in a vehicle during a traffic stop, they said. She had been missing since Dec. 20.
State police suspected she might have traveled to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee with a 22-year-old man. It wasn’t clear if he was with her when she was found.
She was listed as an endangered runaway, and a Silver Alert was issued.
Her family and students and staff from Valley Regional High School students held a vigil at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Essex to publicize her case.
