After years on death row, pit bull gets sanctuary

After seven years, Dolly is finally leaving the Norwich dog pound. The eight-year old pit bull has been held at the pound since 2013, following a violent attack on two small children in Norwich. Years of appeals had delayed the state's destruction order, until a settlement was reached allowing Dolly to move to a no-kill sanctuary. Dolly spent her last hours at the pound with volunteer Romer Young and acting animal control officer Carl Bourne before departing with Chris Lamb, president of the nonprofit CT Animal House.
