    EMPLOYMENT

    Chelsea Groton Bank announced the following promotions of members of its executive leadership team: Tony Joyce, EVP, to Chief Operations Officer; Jennifer Pensa, EVP, to Chief Innovation Officer; Lori Dufficy, EVP, to Chief Experience and Engagement Officer; and Anne Wilkinson, SVP, to Chief Human Resources Officer. Alex Masse, Director of Operations and Business Intelligence, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and is newly appointed to the bank's leadership team.     Susan Connelly has been appointed Chief Operations Officer of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Norwich, Inc.by the Most Reverend Michael R. Cote. Connelly joined Catholic Charities in 2016 as Finance Director. In January 2020, she oversaw the operations of the organization, as Interim Executive Director, while maintaining her duties as Finance Director. Connelly announced the addition of Reverend Brian C. Maxwell to the Catholic Charities team. Father Maxwell was appointed by Bishop Cote on Oct. 1. He joins Catholic Charities in the newly created role of Outreach Coordinator.

    GIVING

    The Antonino Auto Group has announced the creation of their Community Strong Fund to give back this holiday season amidst the pandemic. Each of their nine dealerships will be donating to various local charities each month through March to such as the New London Homeless Hospitality Center, St. Vincent de Paul Place, Groton Social Services Food Pantry and Colchester Cares. The commuity can donate through their local dealership's website, with 100% going directly to charity. To establish the Community Strong Fund, Antonino Auto Group partnered with Givinga, a philanthropic technology firm.

    The Arc Eastern Connecticut's Emporium thrift store in Woodstock that employs people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, received a $2,432 grant from the Chelsea Groton Foundation to create inventory and storage space for donated items prior to their sale.

    HONORS

    Six attorneys at Tobin, Carberry, O'Malley, Riley & Selinger, P.C. of New London were recognized by Best Lawyers. Attorney Robert Tobin was recognized for his work in Native American and Gaming Law. Attorney Glenn Carberry was recognized for his continued work in Land Use and Zoning Law.
