Game time is approaching here at the Verizon Center, which is nicknamed the PhoneBooth.
Don't think the Huskies have to worry about finding any guns in their locker room with Gilbert Arenas suspended.
Talking about the Washington Wizards, former UConn standout Caron Bulter is expected to attend today's game. Ex-Husky Donyell Marshall also will be here.
This is senior Jerome Dyson's homecoming game. About 20 members of his fan club will be here. He went home to Potomac, Md., last night to attend a cousin's wake.
The UConn coaching staff is glowing over receiving an oral commitment from top 20 recruit Roscoe Smith. They should be happy.
Georgetown, on the other hand, is a bit upset. The Hoyas reneged on giving Smith tickets to the today's game. Smith pick UConn over the Hoyas and Duke.
Smith may still attend because tickets are available.
In other recruiting news, Calhoun and assistant coach Andre LaFleur watched recruit Josh Selby play Friday night. The Huskies are back in the runnning for the Lake Clifton High School combination guard. He's from Baltimore.
Selby is expected to take an official visit to UConn Feb. 28 when Louisville visits.
Enjoy today's game.
