Griswold - The Economic Development Commission and Griswold Board of Selectmen will hold a combined public hearing and special meeting on Aug. 18 to discuss the Municipal Development Plan (MDP).

The plan is a culmination of two years of efforts by town commissions, staff and the TPA Design Group of New Haven.

A summary of the MDP will be presented by consultants from TPA Design Group and when enacted, will be used as a longterm background support document for future infrastructure grant applications to the Department of Economic and Community Development. The MDP was also supported by a $195,000 grant from DECD.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the first floor meeting room of the Town Hall on 28 Main St.

Copies of the April 2010 MDP document are available for review at the Town Clerk and Planning and Community Development offices.
