    Beebe Pond Park

    Beebe Pond, a tidal salt pond, is located in the park, is located just across Route 215 from Beebe Cove.

    Town: Groton

    Directions: Take Interstate 95 to Exit 89 to right on Allyn Street; stay on Allyn as it crosses Route 1, then becomes West Mystic Avenue. Turn right onto Route 215 (Noank Road); travel about one mile. Trail entrance is on the right just before Beebe Cove. Two alternate entrances are located off Judson and Capstan avenues.

    Where to Park: A small dirt parking area is located at the entrance off Route 215.

    Description: Beebe Pond Park encompasses 97 acres of woodlands with a salt pond, remnants of an old mill, stone walls, swamp and stream. Trails are easy to moderate.

    Regulations: Dogs must be on a leash; stay on marked trails; no open fires or camping; no motorized vehicles; no cutting trees or brush.

    Amenities: Picnic table near Route 215 entrance.

    Natural Features: Many rock outcrops, ledges and large glacial boulders are found throughout property.

    Fees: Free.

    Things to note: Be aware to stay on the marked blue, red and yellow trails and avoid the unmarked trails. There are several, particularly branching off the blue trail.
