Police execute warrants related to Matthew Chew murder

New London - City police executed numerous search-and-seizures warrants Tuesday evening in connection with the murder of Matthew Chew, 25, who was fatally stabbed last month.
"The investigation of Matthew Chew's death has been and continues to be an agency priority," the police said in a statement. "... Suspect information and other case-specific details will not be released at this time as the investigation is ongoing."
Police said Chew was fatally stabbed Oct. 29 after leaving work at 2Wives restaurant at 45 Huntington St. and walking toward his apartment, less than a tenth of a mile away, at 73 Washington St.
