Julio C. Casiano has been appointed deputy district director for the Connecticut district office of the federal Small Business Administration.
Prior to this appointment, Casiano was the assistant district director at the SBA's district office in Hartford.
His extensive business background began in 1975 as a credit analyst for Bankers Trust in New York City. After moving to Connecticut in 1986, Casiano worked for various banks in key positions including branch manager, commercial lender, community development officer and market manager.
In the ensuing years he has dedicated much of his professional and personal energy and talent to urban business development throughout Connecticut.
