After months of battles and negotiations New London Mayor Finzio and the City Council have come to an agreement on the best possible budget for these difficult times. In my eight years on the council we never had such a difficult time coming up with an acceptable budget. I think credit should go to the mayor for working for a fiscal plan for our city that has found acceptance by the council.

We citizens now owe it to vote in favor of the budget and allow our new form of government to get to work to get our city back on the road to financial recovery. My thanks go out to Mayor Finizio and the council for their efforts and I will support their efforts with my vote.
