Montville - The St. Thomas More post-graduate men's basketball team finished the game on an 18-4 run Saturday and beat defending National Prep School champion Brewster Academy 90-74.

Duane Notice scored a game-high 20 points - including a 3-pointer that started the 18-4 run - Denzel Gregg had 17 points and five rebounds, Dylan Haines scored 14 and Gabe Levin had nine points and 10 rebounds for T-More (5-0). Chris McCullough led Brewster (4-2) with 17 points.

In other games:

• Former New London High School standout Malcolm Simmons scored 17 points and had 12 rebounds as he led UConn-Avery Point to a 73-34 win over Holyoke Community College. Tyler Barnes had 17 points and 11 assists and Samuel Turner scored 11 and had four steals for Avery Point (3-6).

• Matt Vadas scored 17 of his game-high 19 points in the first half as Connecticut College took a 45-16 lead and went on to beat Coast Guard 68-33 in the consolation game of the Citizens Bank Camel/Cadet Classic at Conn.

Freshman Jared Shill had nine points and eight rebounds, John Bullitt scored nine and Vadas had five steals for Conn (2-4). Vadas and Shill were both named to the all-tournament team. Greg Marshall had nine points and five rebounds and Jimmy Knudsen had six points and six rebounds for Coast Guard (1-4). The University of Dallas beat Wheelock 58-54 in the final and Dallas' Kym Malone was the Most Valuable Player.

• Norwich University outscored Mitchell 43-23 in the second half and went on to a 73-68 win in the Hockenbury Classic. Joshua Ford scored 31 points with 14 rebounds and four steals, Devonta Mosley scored 13 and Alex Del Rio had five assists for Mitchell (3-2).

Women's basketball

• Karli Collins scored 14 points and tied a school record with 22 rebounds as she led Coast Guard to a 72-59 win over Clark in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference game. Freshman Meghan Fornaro had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Coast Guard (3-3, 1-1), which snapped a five-game losing streak against Clark (4-1, 1-1). Kaitlin Ward scored 14 with seven rebounds and Larla Brown had 12 points and six rebounds for Coast Guard.

• Devon Diliberto made five free throws in the final 52 seconds as St. Joseph beat Connecticut College 66-61. Jocelyn Summers scored 13 points and Tara Gabelman had 10 points and eight rebounds for Conn (2-4). Diliberto led St. Joseph (4-1) with 19 points.

• Mitchell lost to Johnson & Wales 73-44 in the consolation game of the Wesleyan Tournament. Amanda Garcia had 13 points and 16 rebounds and Kaylee Cerruto scored 15 for Mitchell (0-6).

Men's swimming

• Connecticut College beat Coast Guard for the first time, winning the Whale Cup 168-120.

Loring Bowen and Sam Gill won three events each for Conn (2-1). Bowen won the 200-yard butterfly, 200 backstroke and 500 freestyle and Gill won the 100 backstroke, 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Dylan Steiner also won two events for Conn. Christian Brindamour led Coast Guard (5-1) with a first (50 freestyle), second (100 freestyle) and third (100 backstroke) and teammate Andy Anderson won both diving events.

Women's swimming

• Esther Mehesz and Julia Pielock won two events each, leading Connecticut College to a 170-86 win over Coast Guard. Mehesz won the 1,000 freestyle and 200 backstroke and Pielock won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle for Conn (3-0). Chantel Ferguson won the 100 butterfly and 200 IM for Coast Guard (2-4).

Women's hockey

• Kelsie Fralick made 50 saves to help lead Connecticut College to a 1-0 victory over Hamilton in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game. Ariel DiPasquale scored in the third period for Conn (2-2-1, 1-2-1) and Molly Murphy and Amanda Bogue had assists.

Men's hockey

• Peter Mistretta scored in overtime to lift Williams College to a 3-2 win over Connecticut College in a NESCAC game. Mark Roper and Mike Sinsigalli scored goals and Mike Petchonka made 21 saves for Conn.

Wrestling

• Coast Guard's Nate Giorgio and Luke Taylor each placed second as the Bears finished 10th of 12 teams at the York College New Standard Invitational. Giorgio, a sophomore All-American and the top seed in the 133-pound bracket, rolled into the final with wins of 12-2, 6-0 and 4-0 before losing 2-1 to second-seeded Dan Herr from the College of New Jersey in the championship match. Taylor, the second seed at 174 pounds, advanced to the final with wins of 16-0, 3-2 and a medical forfeit before he lost to top-seeded Jules Doliscar from Ithaca 11-3 in the championship match. Mike Giorgio won three matches at 149 pounds.
