Backstreet Boys hit MGM Grand at Foxwoods

Back together: And, lo, the boy band of yore is fully restored. Kevin Richardson has rejoined Backstreet Boys after a six-year absence. Which means the five original singers are now back in the fold.

Back in the studio: That same quintet has been recording new material. The idea is to release the CD in April 2013. It happens that 2013 is an anniversary. It's 20 years since BSB formed - which raises the question: Should we really still be calling them Boys?

Back on the road: The five guys - who, along with Richardson, are A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter and Brian Littrell - are performing in concert, too, with a Friday show at MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

    - KRISTINA DORSEY

Backstreet Boys, 8 p.m. Friday, MGM Grand at Foxwoods; $70-$90; 1-800-200-2882.
