Carolyn Yost of Stonington Borough, CT started in the antiques business in 1972. After 25 years of buying & selling entire estates as half of “Orkney & Yost Antiques & Oriental Rugs”, she decided to focus mainly on Antique and Estate Jewelry. In 1997, she left Orkney & Yost and established “Carolyn Yost Estate Jewelry”.

The original focus at that time was on the Victorian era, especially Cameos, hair

or memorial jewelry, and pocket watches with their accompanying chains. Since she has an appreciation for quality in any era, she also sells Edwardian, Deco, and Retro period pieces. Fine pieces from all of the 20th century, fun/funky/interesting costume jewelry, plus custom order of new jewelry is also available to you now. Pearls and diamonds eventually worked their way into the mix in a big way, and being a member of the New York Diamond Dealers Club (NYDDC), Carolyn can help you find just the right diamond at a fair & reasonable price point.

Carolyn is a member of The American Society of Jewelry Historians and regularly attends seminars and workshops to learn all she can about the subject. She has also taken classes at the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) to enhance her appreciation and understanding of gemstones.
