Robert Frost might have stopped by the woods on a snowy evening, but he wasn't facing the Blizzard of '13. That historic storm forced many cancellations, including the "Cure for Those Winter Blues Gala" - the annual fundraising party for the Arts Cafe Mystic literature and music series.
E'er stalwart, though, the Arts Cafe folks host the rescheduled Gala tonight at 7 p.m. in the Mystic Arts Center, which includes a cabaret performance by internationally renowned vocalist Phred Mileski.
All proceeds benefit The Arts Cafe Mystic, an independent, not-for-profit series that has for 19 years featured readings and performances by headlining writers and musicians from all over the globe.
Tickets are a $35 tax deductible donation and include, in addition to Mileski's show, a complementary open bar, hors d'oeuvres and free parking.
The Mystic Arts Center is located at 9 Water St., Mystic. (860) 912-2444, theartscafemystic.org.
