    Thursday in Old Saybrook: Sen. Linares to Tour Stencil Ease

    State Sen. Art Linares will tour Old Saybrook-based manufacturer Stencil Ease on Thursday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m.

    State Sen. Art Linares will tour Old Saybrook-based manufacturer Stencil Ease on Thursday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m.

    Old Saybrook First Selectman Carl Fortuna will join Sen. Linares on the tour, which will be led by Stencil Ease President and CEO Brian Greenho.

    Stencil Ease, located at 7 Center Road West, is the largest specialty stencil manufacturing company in the country. The state-of-the-art laser cutting facility is capable of producing anything from one-off custom stencils to mass production runs in excess of 100,000 units. The company has been able to retain jobs with assistance from the State of Connecticut’s Small Business Express program. On the web: www.stencilease.com .

    Sen. Linares (www.senatorlinares.com) has been visiting manufacturers in the area and speaking with their employees. At the State Capitol, he is sponsoring several proposals aimed at improving Connecticut’s business environment and boosting the manufacturing industry. In the Connecticut General Assembly, Sen. Linares serves on the Commerce Committee and on the bipartisan Manufacturing Caucus.
