Shoreline Gymnastics of Old Saybrook competed in the Team Challenge at WCSU O’Neill Center in Danbury on February 15th to 17th.

Levels 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 were represented. The Level 4 team included Ella Ferrucci (Essex), Madeline Fraser (East Lyme), Helena Gernhardt (Old Saybrook), Abigail Maynard (Waterford) and Emily Smith (Clinton). Strong individual performances for Level 4 on bars included Helena Gernhardt (tied for first); beam Madeline Fraser (third); and floor Helena Gernhardt (tied for second) and Madeline Fraser (third).

The Level 5 team included Megan Cravinho (Old Lyme), Megan Kapij (Old Saybrook) and Amanda Rowe (Waterford). Strong individual performances for Level 5 on vault included Amanda Rowe (third).

The Level 6 team included Elizabeth Cravinho (Old Lyme), Haley Smith (Clinton) and Makenzie Mahar (Pawcatuck). The Level 6 team had strong individual performances including placing in the top seven on many events.

The Level 7 team included Erin Naclerio (Madison) and Kate Ryan (East Haddam). The Level 7 team had strong individual performances including placing in the top eight on many events.

The Level 8 team was represented by Kylie McCarthy (Old Lyme). Kylie placed within the top eight on four events.

The Level 9 team included Samantha Lemire (Moodus) and Megan McNeil (Pawcatuck). Strong individual performances for Level 9 on vault included Samantha Lemire (second) and Megan McNeil (third); bars Samantha Lemire (first) and Megan McNeil (second); beam Samantha Lemire (first) and Megan McNeil (second); floor Samantha Lemire (third); and all around Samantha Lemire (first) and Megan McNeil (third).
