Faris to take part in "meet and greet" at Filomena's

Filomena's Restaurant in Waterford will host Connecticut Sun guard and former UConn great Kelly Faris for a "meet and greet" on Sunday from 6-8 p.m.

Admission, photo opportunities and autographs are free of charge, owners Bill Buscetto and Mike Buscetto said.

Faris led the Huskies to the 2013 NCAA championship last month and was the Sun's first-round draft choice a week later.

Faris and the Sun open the 2013 WNBA season Saturday night at Mohegan Sun Arena against New York. Game time is 7 p.m.
